Kush-Dr Dre:
This was Dr. Dre's first music video in 10 years. Pretty remarkable huh? well despite all the hype i would have to say, once you get around the fact that its Dre, and its "monumental" it just doesnt live up to expectations. Personally i think Snoop Dogg's verse was the best. I also think Akin completely ruined the song. The chorus is terrible. The piano with the beat is only so good before it just starts to get lame. and how many times can Dre say bitch in verse. i counted at least 4 time within a 15 second lapse. Overall i give it two stars. Mostly cuz it's Dre, and ive heard worse. also if you'v heard the leaked song with Jay-Z you would be very worried about Detox that comes out soon. Based on those two i feel this album will say by the Name not the songs.
Apollo Kidz-Ghostface Killah
The Wu-Tang Clan member has come out with a new album this past week. Personally i think Ghostface Killah carried WTC but thats just me. I thought the album was pretty good for the most part. But who was featured on it??? the guests on this album were terrible. The song with the best guests was Trouble Makers ft Redman, Method Man, and and Raekwon. The lyrics i have to say though are pretty terrible. I give the album 2 stars. There are certain parts on certain songs that are good, but its just not that good. Oh who am i kidding, it sucked. This is where the lesson, quit while your ahead, comes into play.
O Sockie-Snoop Dogg
Ok so this was pretty typical Snoop. It had the same basic Snoop Dogg flow which is pretty nice. It was free of style which i dont mind but the chorus was pretty boring. Its nothing special by any stretch of the imagination but it's another Snoop song thats pretty good. Snoop fans should be fairly happy with how this track has turned out.
well thats all i can think of now. So those are my thoughts on some recent music
